CF of CANZUK launches!
Lord Hannan, Andrew Rosindell MP, and Bob Blackman MP pose with our three directors: David Moore, Elliott Malik, and Jamie Bartch, and our Events Officer, Danielle Terry.
The Conservative Friends of CANZUK were delighted to hold our parliamentary launch on the 12th of March. Kindly hosted by our vice-President, Andrew Rosindell MP, we gathered parliamentarians, High Commission representatives, members of our sister parties, our financial patrons, and other CANZUK supporters in the Jubilee Room of the Palace of Westminster.
We heard speeches from our President (Lord Hannan), vice-President, and three directors (David Moore, Elliott Malik, and Jamie Bartch). There were clear messages: CANZUK is supported by the three pillars of trade, security and heritage; we must stand together in times of strife, and CANZUK is coming. But, perhaps more topically, we also affirmed that we will always stand with Canada, Australia, and the New Zealand. We are outraged by the attacks on our brother countries by ‘allies’ and enemies alike. You can watch all the speeches below.
We enjoyed food and drinks from across the four realms: ranging from Australian Tim Tams to wine from Hampshire. There was much CANZUK discussion, networking, and sampling of produce. It is good to see such an appetite for everything CANZUK has to offer.
Thank you to everyone who attended. We were delighted to hear such kind words about the launch, and we are sure that CANZUK is coming. This is our first event of 2025, and is by no means the last. Our next event is scheduled for the 19th of June. We will be kicking off our CANZUK lecture series with a lecture by our patron, Lord Roberts. More information will be distributed in due course.
Of course, all events cost money, and we would like to thank everyone who has paid to become a member or a patron of CF of CANZUK. We are still a new organisation, but we are keen to crack on with the job of ensuring the Conservative Party - and in turn other UK political parties - embrace CANZUK.
We would like to thank UKSOL, Connor Mason, and Thomas Hogg for funding our launch. We would like to thank Treasury Wines and Coates & Seely for their kind donations of CANZUK wine.
